Vipera

Developed with a focus on

Materials and Manufacturing.

Vipera is a 3D-printed space helmet made from polyetherketoneketone (PEKK), a material that is not only stronger but lighter than steel. Designed by Thima, an independent space contractor, the helmet fits snugly to provide 360-degree visibility and features self-donning capabilities, allowing astronauts to easily put it on themselves. An overhead TO LED, the system displays oxygen levels, communication, navigation, and other critical data for missions beyond Earth’s atmosphere.

Inspired by the resilience and symbolism of snakes, Vipera embodies strength, adaptability, and evolution. Its sleek design and emblem reflect humanity’s journey into the unknown, while its 100% recyclable PEKK material offers a sustainable, bio-futuristic solution for space exploration
